studies indicate about 75-90% people like chocolate. Although there are many varieties to savor chocolate, every chocolate lover admits to drinking hershey's chocolate syrup direct from the bottle at least once.
in my group of friends except for 3 or 4 people, everyone loves chocolate.
With the ever increasing prices of foods, i thought of experimenting with chocolate sauce/syrup.
and trust me, when u make this sauce, your gonna forget hershey's.
If u don't believe me, then make, u won't regret it.
Its pretty simple to make, ready in just 12 minutes.
So here comes the recipe.
HOME MADE CHOCOLATE SAUCE/SYRUP
Ingredients
Cocoa powder- 1 cup
Brown sugar- 3/4 cup
White sugar- 1 1/4 cup
Cold water- 1 cup
Salt- 1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence- 1 tbsp
Corn flour- 1 1/2 tbsp
Method
- In a medium sauce pan, mix in the cocoa, salt, sugars and water. whisk until combined and there are no lumps.
- Turn heat to medium and bring to boil whisking frequently.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low, whisking occasionally.
- Allow the mixture to simmer until it has slightly reduced and thickened.
- Add the cornflour mixed with little water to form a smooth paste.
- Let it simmer for about 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla.
- Cool to room temperature, cover, refrigerate and enjoy.
TIP- If u like runny consistency, avoid cornflour.
