hey frnds....
few days bak i wanted to eat lachcha paratha. I had this recipe in my folder, so gave it a try. And it did come out really well. So here is the recipe STEP BY STEP, which makes it easier to make.

LACHCHA PARATHA
Ingredients
Maida-1 cup
Whole wheat flour- 1 cup + 2 tbsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Oil-1/4 cup
Luke warm milk/water- as required
Method
- Mix maida, 1 cup wheat flour, salt thoroughly.
- Add milk/water enough to make a soft dough.
- Keep aside for half an hour.
- Make a paste of 2 tbsp whole wheat flour and oil.
- Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
- Roll one part into a thin chapatti.
- Spread the oil+atta paste evenly over the chapatti.
- Fold the chapatti in a paper fan like pattern.
- Stretch the strip a little more.
- Fold the strip inwards to make a swiss roll type ball.
- Keep aside for 5 minutes.
- Make 2 more rolls in the same way.
- Roll out the rolls to a medium thickness.
- Heat a pan/tawa, and put the paratha over it.
- When bubbles appear, turn over.
- Spread oil over one side, turn over the other side, and cook till brown spots appear.
- After cooking, crush the paratha on either side with ur fingers. (this will bring out the layers).
- Serve hot.
