LACHCHA PARATHA step by step


hey frnds....
few days bak i wanted to eat lachcha paratha. I had this recipe in my folder, so gave it a try. And it did come out really well. So here is the recipe STEP BY STEP, which makes it easier to make.

LACHCHA PARATHA

Ingredients

Maida-1 cup
Whole wheat flour- 1 cup + 2 tbsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Oil-1/4 cup
Luke warm milk/water- as required

Method

  • Mix maida, 1 cup wheat flour, salt thoroughly.
  • Add milk/water enough to make a soft dough.
  • Keep aside for half an hour.
  • Make a paste of 2 tbsp whole wheat flour and oil.

  • Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
  • Roll one part into a thin chapatti.

  • Spread the oil+atta paste evenly over the chapatti.


  • Fold the chapatti in a paper fan like pattern.




  • Stretch the strip a little more.

  • Fold the strip inwards to make a swiss roll type ball.





  • Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  • Make 2 more rolls in the same way.
  • Roll out the rolls to a medium thickness.



  • Heat a pan/tawa, and put the paratha over it.

  • When bubbles appear, turn over.

  • Spread oil over one side, turn over the other side, and cook till brown spots appear.


  • After cooking, crush the paratha on either side with ur fingers. (this will bring out the layers).

  • Serve hot.
